Review Guidelines
Last updated: 3 November 2026
Aitoarvio means “genuine review”. These guidelines keep it that way, for reviewers, readers and companies.
How we check reviews
- Every review is read by a person before it is published.
- Reviewers must give a working email address (never shown publicly) and confirm that the review is about their own experience.
- One review per person per brand or product. Duplicate reviews are blocked.
- We look for signs of fake reviews, such as many similar reviews in a short time.
- We do not currently verify purchases (for example with receipts). A published review means it passed our checks, not that we confirmed the purchase.
What a good review includes
- Your honest opinion, positive or negative
- Details: what you bought or used, and when
- Why you gave the stars you gave
What we do not publish
- Reviews not based on your own experience
- Reviews written by the company itself, its employees, or competitors
- Paid or rewarded reviews that do not say so
- Insults, hate speech, threats, or discrimination
- Personal information: phone numbers, addresses, names of staff members
- Spam, advertising, or links to other sites
- Content that is illegal or breaks someone’s rights
- Reviews that are not about the brand or product
Our promise about negative reviews
Companies cannot pay us to remove, hide or change honest reviews. A review is never removed just because it is negative. A company may report a review it believes breaks these guidelines, and we check the report fairly.
How the star rating is calculated
A brand’s or product’s rating is the simple average of all its published reviews. We do not change, weight or hide ratings.
Reporting a review
